BY BOOKING WITH US, CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AS STATED IN THIS REFERRAL AGREEMENT MADE BETWEEN BERTA CLEANS REFERRAL AGENCY AND THE CLIENT.

By scheduling a professional cleaning service with www.bertacleans.com and agreeing to the services provided, the client consents to the following general terms and conditions set forth by Berta Cleans. These terms, along with our confirmation email/letter and cleaning schedule, form the complete agreement between the parties. No additional oral or written statements or representations will be considered binding. Should any clause of this agreement be deemed invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms and conditions will continue to be fully effective.

Berta Cleans as a referral agency’s role is to recruit and retain independent contractors to provide cleaning services.

Each service provider is interviewed by Berta Cleans to assess their work skills and availability. Berta Cleans is not employer of the independent cleaning provider referred to client.

Your cleaning service is typically handled by one or two cleaning providers, though we may add more if the job demands it due to complexity or a tight schedule. We make an effort to keep the rotation of cleaners in your home to a minimum.

We might engage third-party companies or individuals to assist in providing our cleaning service on our behalf.

With Berta Cleans, you’re not bound by a long-term contract for recurring services; you can cancel at any time.

If you book a recurring service (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly cleaning) and cancel after the initial cleaning, you will be charged the rate for a one-time cleaning. if you skip cleaning so that cleaning’s frequency is lower than what you  were set up for, your price will be increased to the pricing level for the lower frequency.

We provide home cleaning services every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, between 8 AM and 6 PM.

We maintain a “24-hour Hold / Charge credit card” policy. Payment for the cleaning service is due in full on the day of the service. For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, and charges are processed at the time of cleaning. Additionally, any cancellations will be charged to the credit card on file.

We only accept card payments, no direct payments to cleaners are allowed, except for tips.

The price of our services covers the provision of standard supplies and equipment by our company. Jobs that require additional supplies or equipment will incur extra charges.

Our cleaning providers are trained to adhere to the cleaning requirements specified for each job. If you require additional services, please notify our office at least one business day ahead so we can arrange for the extra work. Please note that changes in scheduling might result in fee adjustments.

Our goal is to ensure your home is clean. Payment is for the cleaning service itself, not for the duration the cleaning provider spends at your home. We encourage our cleaning providers to concentrate on the quality of the clean rather than the clock. Some homes might take longer to clean than others; some might take less. However, if your home is not in an “average” condition, Berta Cleans may charge extra for the additional time required.

If you’re not satisfied with your cleaning service, we’ll dispatch another cleaner to make it right within 24 hours.

The customer is expected to inspect all work while it’s being performed and before the cleaner leaves. If the customer isn’t present, photos must be submitted within 24 hours. The customer acknowledges that any claims or complaints regarding the service after the cleaner has left the property will not be accepted, and no refunds, credits, or additional services will be offered.

A non-refundable cancellation fee of $70 applies if the cleaning service is canceled within 24 hours before the scheduled time. If canceled after that, you’ll be charged 50% of the total cleaning cost. However, you can reschedule your cleaning at no extra charge, if it is rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the service. A $70 fee will be charged for rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service.

Without exception there are no refunds for the cleaning service. Should the signed customer initiate a chargeback on their credit or debit card for services rendered by Berta Cleans, and if the card issuer deems this chargeback fraudulent, the customer will owe Berta Cleans liquidated damages of $750 plus the original cost of the service for each occurrence.

We are not responsible for damage or loss to items that are not properly secured or were already damaged prior to the cleaning.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service due to safety issues, uncomfortable or inappropriate situations, the presence of weapons, extreme clutter, or disconnected utilities.

Our cleaning service providers are authorized to leave if they encounter an extremely unsanitary environment or if they feel unsafe or threatened. The customer will still be responsible for the full cost of the scheduled job.

The client must inform Berta Cleans if anyone in the household is suspected of having an infectious disease. This notification should be given as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours before the scheduled cleaning. Berta Cleans reserves the right to cancel the cleaning under these circumstances.

We are not responsible for any mold-related issues in clients’ homes. Additionally, we do not provide cleaning services for hoarding situations or areas with animal or human bodily fluids such as blood, feces, vomit, urine, or other excretions.

For safety and liability reasons, our cleaning providers are restricted from climbing higher than a step stool or performing tasks outside of your home. They are also unable to move items weighing over 35 pounds. If you need areas behind heavy objects cleaned, please move these items before the cleaning appointment.

We maintain insurance to cover damage or breakage caused by our cleaning providers. However, we are not responsible for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper installation, or undisclosed items like: Artwork, Collectibles, and Family Heirlooms: These items are valuable and irreplaceable. Please make us aware of such items before we begin service.

Please inform us about how you would like your fragile items to be handled and cared for.

Items of extreme value (monetary or sentimental) should be dusted or cleaned by the owner.

Clients must ensure that the service location is accessible to Berta Cleans service providers on the scheduled day. If the cleaning team is unable to enter due to being locked out, we will attempt to contact the client to gain access. If contact cannot be made within 20 minutes of the team’s arrival, the cleaning will be canceled, and a 50% of the total cleaning cost will be charged.

We supply the equipment and cleaning products necessary for a thorough clean of your home. If you specifically require the use of only green cleaning products, please inform us prior to the service start. While we aim to use eco-friendly supplies, there are occasions when more conventional products are needed for optimal results.

Should you request that we use your cleaning supplies, please be aware that we will not be liable for any damage caused by those products. When making such a request, please ensure that all cleaning chemicals and supplies are readily available to allow for an efficient cleaning service.

The client agrees not to directly engage any cleaning service provider referred by Berta Cleans for the duration of this Agreement and for twelve (12) months following the termination of services, unless Berta Cleans is informed about the scheduled services. If services begin or additional services are provided without this notification, the client will owe Berta Cleans a $1,000 finder’s fee.

Cleaning providers hired by Berta Cleans have signed agreements stating that neither they nor their family or friends will accept direct hiring from any Berta Cleans customer without payment of a finder’s fee. This agreement is enforceable while the cleaners are hired by Berta Cleans and extends for one year after their contract ends. We kindly request that you do not directly solicit or hire any of our cleaning providers except through Berta Cleans. If you choose to hire a current or former cleaner directly, or if any solicitation occurs, a $1,000 finder’s fee will be charged. After this fee is paid, Berta Cleans will no longer be responsible for managing the professional house cleaner.

The customer consents to us taking before and after photos for quality assurance purposes. These photos may also be utilized in our promotional materials. If the customer is not present during the service, these photos will be shared to demonstrate that the cleaning was completed. No personal items will be visible in these images.
